My Maths Smarts
1. The qualities I have that help me in maths are being decisive, hard-working, and persevering. I have self belief, focus, and the ability to think outside the box. I believe I have all the qualities of a good mathematician.
3. I will do this by working with a different group of people other than the same people I work with throughout the same classes.
2. I think I need to work on improving my team player skills and working with a variety of people.

How NZ is doing with Covid-19
New Zealand has probably been one of the best countries to have handled Covid-19. We've already passed our peak of the amount of cases and very soon we'll all be back at our schools, jobs and catch-ups. Compared to countries such as the United States, our government is doing a great job. I think everyone is doing the best they can to social distance and stop the spreading of the Coronavirus. However, some people are disobeying the lockdown rules and are still socialising, meeting up and other similarities.

Lockdown - Day 1
I've been doing many things; baking, playing with younger siblings, cleaning, doing schoolwork, gardening and getting up to date with Netflix. I feel a bit anxious, as to whether my grandparents or neighbours, might get Corona virus. But other than that, I feel quite refreshed having some time off school. The main concern in all news reports recently is anything to do with Covid-19. Whether it be case numbers rising, death tolls going higher or supermarket product shortages, it's all over the news. New Zealand is currently in Stage 4 of lockdown, which is raising panic from all over the country, including myself. :)

How I learn
How do you learn best?
I learn things best by writing things down to memorise them or by repeating the article or information to make sure it sticks in my brain.
What stops you from learning?
Noisy disruption and distractions are the things that prevent my knowledge from growing. Most of the distractions in my class is caused by classmates socialising.
What has been the most exciting part of being in Year 9 so far?
Many exciting things have happened so far this year but the most exciting one would probably meeting new people; most of the students at this college are friendly and inclusive.
